Our Children’s Ministry serves children from birth through 5th grade.
During the 9:30 am Worship Service, the nursery is staffed for infants and
toddlers through 3 years old. Children’s Worship is offered for children 4
years old through 5th grade. The children begin in the sanctuary with their
parents and leave with the Children’s Worship leaders during the offering to
go to their very own brightly colored worship room for a lesson, music,
games, crafts and activities. We believe children benefit from both
worshipping God with the whole church and worshipping God in creative,
active ways that help them understand Jesus and God’s Word at their level.
After the Worship service, the Children join their Sunday School classes:
Nursery: Toddlers are read Bible stories and learn about God’s love
and creation.
Bible Buddies: Our youngest children’s class includes preK –
2nd Graders. They are learning Bible stories and the
lessons they need to know to follow God’s way in our
world.
Kids Rock: The older elementary class is for 3rd – 5th graders. They
are learning much about the Bible, what’s in it and how to
use it, all the while discovering the truths found in God’s
Word and memorizing Books of the Bible and scriptures.
Other Children’s Ministries include:
- Kids Choir meeting weekly during the school year.
- Missions Group approximately every other month.
- Discipleship Class for children interested in Baptism
- Special Fun activity monthly
- Advent/Christmas Celebration (Parents Night Out) early in December
- Journey to Easter event on Palm Sunday
- Vacation Bible School
- Trunk and Treat
- Children are encouraged to attend Summer Church Camp at Lake Springfield
Baptist Camp.
